Robert Ackroyd was born in England on October 7, 1982. He is a guitarist with the band Florence and the Machine, known for such songs as “Shake It Out” and “Dog Days Are Over”.

Before he joined Florence and the Machine, he played lead guitar for the band The Sextones. Rob Ackroyd was working at a production company in London when he got the chance to join the band.
